Trios Information: Rehearsal and Repertoire
It’s been a joy coaching trio groups over the past few years, and I’m thrilled to kick off another exciting season! This fall’s trio groupings and repertoire have been announced—be sure to purchase your assigned music by the last week of August. We’ll hold two fun and focused rehearsals which will take the place of regular lessons on those weeks, and each trio will perform for their parents during the final five minutes of the second rehearsal. Let the collaboration and music-making begin!

NVMTA Bach Baroque Festival and Competition
Requirements are two memorized pieces. One must be by J.S. Bach. The other must be either by J.S. Bach or another baroque period composer. The events is judged by two judges and students perform with a group of 8-12 students in a recital type presentation. There is usually a harpsichord available which all students are encouraged to try with their Baroque pieces. I plan to take up to 10 of my best prepared students. This is usually appropriate for students who have studied with me for at least three years.
Theory Mastery Day
This event is required of all my students (except adults). Students take written tests (levels Primer-12) provided by the Virginia Music Teachers Association.
