All students must complete Sample Theory test #1 during the first week of January. See the options below. A second (different) sample test will be given on February 3.

I expect all students to participate in the VA State Theory exams on February 11 held at Kenmore Middle School. (Exception: Primer level) Registration is due January 12 and exam payment is due to me by that date. Completion of boh sample tests are important steps in preparing for the state theory tests. The testing schedule is usually published a 1-2 weeks prior to the event. Please hold the day for the tests. The tests are given in groups by level on February 11.

Option 1: Take the test at my house on Friday, January 6. The advantage to this is that I will be available to answer questions and help you with the test. If only one student of a group chooses option 1, I may combine your group with another.

4:00-4:45 p.m. Anabella, Max, Alex, William, Maya

5:00-6:00 p.m. Sloan F, Sarah, Amara, Kenneth, Charlie, Kyla

6:00-7:00 p.m. Sammy, Magnolia, Lyda, Jenny, Lawrence, Sloane, Henry

7:00-8:00 p.m. Peter, Shi Chong, Katie, Walker

Option 2: Receive a copy of the test at your lesson during the week of January 2-6, take the test at home and return it to me no later than Saturday January 7. I will give the ear-training part of the test during the following week at your lesson.
